This Copenhagen wedding at Kilden i Skoven in Dyrehaven was one of those days that just felt easy in the best way. Surrounded by trees, fresh air, and their closest people, this outdoor wedding in Copenhagen had such a relaxed and joyful atmosphere from start to finish.
Getting Ready
The morning started slow and calm, with the bride getting ready alongside her bridesmaids. Lots of laughter, a few quiet moments, and that mix of excitement and nerves that always fills the room.
Her hair and makeup were done by Tina Alfheim, who created a soft, natural look that fit perfectly with the whole forest setting. Nothing overdone, just effortless and beautiful.
An Outdoor Ceremony at Kilden i Skoven
The ceremony took place at Kilden i Skoven, right in the middle of Dyrehaven. Completely surrounded by green, open air, and such a peaceful setting.
One thing a lot of couples don’t know is that you can actually have a registrar from Copenhagen City Hall come out to your location. That’s what they did here, which meant they could have a fully legal ceremony in the forest instead of at city hall. It made the whole experience feel a lot more personal and relaxed. Of course, Copenhagen City Hall weddings have their own charm too. I’ve photographed so many beautiful civil ceremonies there and always recommend it for couples who are eloping or planning something small.
Drinks & Cake
Right after the ceremony, everyone stayed outside to celebrate. Guests mingled, hugged the couple, grabbed drinks, and just enjoyed the moment. There was also some amazing food and cake, which everyone made the most of.
This part of the day always feels like a deep breath, and this outdoor wedding in Dyrehaven did it perfectly.
At one point, the couple had organized a carriage ride through Dyrehaven, which guests could hop on and enjoy. It was such a fun and thoughtful idea, and very fitting for a forest wedding in Copenhagen. Riding through the park, surrounded by nature, you can easily spot the deer that live there, which made the whole experience feel even more special (and very Danish). It added this extra layer to the day. Something relaxed, a bit different, and something guests will definitely remember.
Dinner & Party
Dinner was served in a tent outside, which worked so well with the whole vibe of the day. Long tables, simple and beautiful details, and the forest all around.
While dinner was happening, the indoor space at Kilden i Skoven was being transformed for the party, which created a really nice flow to the day.
Once the party started, it really started. The energy was high from the beginning. People were ready to celebrate, and the dance floor filled up fast. So many big moments, and just a lot of love for this couple.
