A Copenhagen Wedding with a Canal Boat Tour

Last summer I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful and intimate wedding at Mogens Dahl Koncertsal, a venue that combines elegance, great food, and a warm atmosphere right in the heart of the city.

The celebrations started near the waterfront by The Black Diamond, where the couple met their guests for a canal boat tour through Copenhagen.

After the canal tour, the boat dropped us off at Islands Brygge. From there, it was just a short walk to Mogens Dahl Koncertsal. Guests were welcomed with drinks and time to mingle before dinner.

This was an intimate wedding, with around 50 guests. Close friends and family gathered to celebrate the couple.

The evening continued with an amazing dinner, speeches, and lots of laughter. Smaller weddings like this always feel extra special. There’s something really lovely about a celebration where everyone knows each other and the couple gets to truly spend time with their guests.

Located in the city centre, this cozy and historical restaurant has different rooms for your wedding reception and it could fit up to 50 guests. Maven means “the stomach”. Locals named the place when Nikolaj Square was still home to butcher shops.

This restaurant is a part of the ØsterGRO rooftop farm and its no food-waste concept goes back to when the garden was founded. Everything they grow goes to people who pre-pay for harvest bags, Following the same idea, guests in the restaurant pre-pay for their meal. This way their chefs only make food for those they know are joining for dinner, avoiding food waste. There you’ll dine in a lovely greenhouse, where you can fit up to 25 people.

If you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, this informal restaurant located in Nørrebro is the perfect choice. Tribeca is great for a bigger reception, fitting up to 70 people.

A hotel that looks like a home. A cozy and relaxed place, ready to welcome you and your loved ones. Located in Tisvildeleje, one of the most beautiful places in Denmark, you’ll be able to have an open-air wedding with stunning sea view. And if you’re lucky, you may be treated to a wonderful sunset.
You can book the entire hotel, with 28 rooms, just for you and your guests.

A classic and romantic wedding venue located in Hillerød. Here you can get married with a beautiful view to Frederiksborg Castle and its lake. In the beginning of September I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely wedding in Hamburg.
When I arrived at the location, many guests were still in jeans helping with the decoration, hanging things around… it was a really nice and relaxed atmosphere.
Anne Sophie and Rouven enjoyed every single minute of this day. It isn’t difficult when you’re surrounded by good friends.

Rafaela and Ron got married three years ago in Brazil. When planning to visit Hamburg for the first time, they had the idea of reviving the happiest moment of their lives. Luckily enough they could still fit into their weeding clothes and decided to put them on to explore the city. There is nothing more typically Hamburg than the harbor and it was just the perfect scenario to photograph this beautiful couple. Enjoy the photos!

What would you do if you forgot the bouquet on your wedding day? For Tina, this small detail would never ruin the magic of this event. She just grabbed some flowers on the way and went on, all smiles.
The couple’s happiness is evident all over the photos. The wedding of Tina and Benjamin was indeed impeccable. A perfect day, an emotional ceremony at the beautiful Jenisch Haus, a boat trip along the river Elbe, reception at Kai 10 and splendid fireworks to close the day.
